I Have No Ability to Fathom

what life has been like for Connie Culp. I should never, never, never feel self-pity again (but of course I will). I cried and cried when I read her story today.

I warn you, the pictures of Connie are shocking. You will flinch, if not worse. Here is the article. I can't stop weeping. It's just beyond me.

Traggic and triumphant. Courage beyond my own as well.
I had an uncle you lost half of his face and scull to a cancerous tumor, literally. And on top of that, suffered mulitple strokes that made it that much more difficult for him to communicate. Proof to me, that our bodies are not "us", but only what we exist in. He was the same person inside.
Hat's off to Ms. Culp for her bravery in coming forward.

ohmigoodness! What a brave woman she is and I'm glad they were able to do so much for her. The sad thing is that her husband will be out soon (if he's not already) and she will deal with his actions for the rest of her life.
